Founded in 2022, Merishaw School has quickly emerged as a top-performing boys’ secondary institution in Kenya. Located in Isinya, Kajiado County, the school has attracted national attention for its academic excellence, modern infrastructure, and innovative curriculum. With only a few years in operation, it has already outshined many established schools in the country.
Merishaw School is situated approximately 64 kilometers from Nairobi, along the Isinya–Namanga Road. Officially opened in May 2022, the school was designed to offer a serene learning environment, combining rural tranquility with modern amenities. The school layout is inspired by the traditional Maasai kraal, symbolizing a secure and supportive community for the learners.
Despite its youth, Merishaw School made history with its first Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) cohort in 2024, achieving a mean score of 10.5686 (Grade A–). This remarkable performance positioned Merishaw at the top nationally, ahead of long-established institutions like Alliance High School.
Key highlights of the 2024 KCSE results:
-All 51 candidates scored C+ and above, qualifying for university admission.
-Seven students earned straight As.
-Six subjects recorded mean scores of A, including:

Merishaw School offers both the traditional 8-4-4 system (Forms 1–4) and the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) for Grades 7–9. This dual approach ensures the school caters to both academic pathways currently active in Kenya's education system, preparing students for local and international opportunities.
Merishaw's educational philosophy is guided by six core pillars, which define its identity and shape the holistic development of learners:

In April 2025, Merishaw School launched the G-MAX Arena, a 2,000-seat multi-purpose facility used for sports, entertainment, worship, and academic events. It is one of the most advanced school arenas in East Africa, equipped with:
-Climate-controlled interior
-High-tech LED display
-Epoxy sports flooring
-VIP lounge and hospitality services
-Changing rooms and medical units
-Wheelchair accessibility
The G-MAX Arena reflects the school's commitment to co-curricular excellence and community engagement.
Merishaw School offers full boarding facilities for all students. The residential areas are designed to be secure, comfortable, and conducive to study. Each dormitory is surrounded by teachers’ residences to ensure continuous mentorship and pastoral care, echoing the school’s symbolic “kraal” design.
As of 2024, the school's termly fees range from KSh 151,600 to KSh 164,800, depending on the grade level. Additional costs include:
-Admission: KSh 10,000
-Caution Fee: KSh 10,000
-Book Fund: KSh 5,000 per year
-ICT/Coding: KSh 4,000 per term
-Projects, Activities & Medical: Approx. KSh 14,700 annually
Despite being a premium institution, Merishaw positions its fees competitively among elite private schools in Kenya.
Since its launch, the school has grown from an inaugural class of 96 students in 2022 to over 800 students by 2024. This growth reflects strong demand from parents seeking academic excellence, spiritual grounding, and all-rounded development.
