Milcah Nyatuga Murang’a, fondly known to her followers as Milly wa Doc, was more than just an internet personality—she was a voice of vulnerability, resilience, and motherhood. A TikTok content creator based in Nakuru, Milly attracted a large following with her honest storytelling, personal reflections, and heartfelt portrayals of family life. Her children, Brian and Sheila, featured prominently in her videos, forming a tight-knit trio that symbolized strength after hardship.
Despite living much of her life in the public eye, Milly remained fiercely protective of her children and her private world. She often spoke about emotional healing, toxic relationships, and finding peace after pain—making her content feel deeply relatable to many who followed her journey.
Milly’s health crisis began when she discovered a stomach cyst that required surgery. Though the procedure itself seemed initially successful, complications quickly followed. She experienced severe internal bleeding and had to undergo a blood transfusion. After being hospitalized for a few days, she was discharged—but her body had not fully recovered.
At home, Milly continued to battle symptoms that left her weak and drained. Her health began deteriorating rapidly, and it became apparent that something was gravely wrong. Her family, alarmed by her condition, rushed her back to the hospital. On June 2, 2025, she began dialysis treatment due to a sudden and severe onset of kidney failure.
The procedure appeared to go well, and her loved ones hoped for a turnaround. Tragically, Milly passed away that very night.

Doctors confirmed that Milly died due to acute kidney failure. However, the speed of her decline—and the lack of clear warning signs prior to the dialysis—has raised significant concern among both family and the wider public. Her relatives, devastated by the loss, have described her health spiral as both unexpected and suspicious.
Further complicating matters are troubling claims from those close to Milly, who allege that threats had been made against her by a former partner. Some speculate whether an act of medical malpractice or negligence may have contributed to her death. These allegations remain under review but have prompted growing calls for a comprehensive investigation into the exact sequence of events leading to her final moments.
Her passing has sent shockwaves across Kenya and beyond. Friends, fellow creators, and thousands of fans took to social media to mourn the vibrant mother who used her voice to inspire others. Many expressed disbelief at how fast things unraveled and are demanding transparency from medical institutions involved in her treatment.
Among her grieving relatives, her brother and aunt have voiced the deepest pain, speaking about her commitment to her children and her quiet courage through hardship. Their testimony has intensified pressure on authorities to act and examine whether her death could have been prevented.
Milly’s legacy stretches far beyond her digital presence. She opened a space for women—especially single mothers—to speak about real struggles without shame. She tackled emotional abuse, raised awareness about self-worth, and showed what it meant to rise again after personal collapse. That voice is now gone, but the echo remains.
A fundraising effort is currently underway to settle her outstanding hospital bills and secure a dignified burial. More than that, her story is now serving as a call to action: a demand for improved healthcare accountability, greater protection for vulnerable patients, and a reminder that even the strongest among us sometimes suffer silently.
Milly wa Doc may no longer be here to tell her story, but those she touched are determined to make sure it is neither forgotten nor ignored. Her life was one of meaning, her death one of mystery. The truth deserves to be known—and justice, if due, must be done.
